Door handle

Question

Thank you for your prompt response, there are no identifying numbers or any information on the handle. The problem with the handle is the inside latch does not fully move up or down . There is 4 inches btwn the 2 screws. I hope that helps you

Sounds like the mortise lock may be shot. A good way to test this is to remove the handle entirely, then try to throw the mortise lock manually with a screwdriver (or anything that can get in there). If it still won't throw, then it will need to be replaced. Start by looking at our 82-226.
