Hello .. door is older but still in good shape . Possible installed around 2000-2005. Need to replace handle and looking for comparable handle for this model door .. thanks for help with this

See our 40-049 Handle Set. Look over the dimensions and let me know if you think this could work as a replacement.

Hello.. 40-049 handle set seems to be measuring different
than my handle set.
inside handle brass plate on door 1 x 7- screws very close to edge. (not 7/8 x 6 1/2 x 8 1/8 )
Plate where lock goes into is 1 x 8 with screws approx 7 1/2 . does it come down to as long screw holes match with existing handle set it can be longer

Thanks for posting. Can you double check the distance between the center of the screws on the plate for the mortise lock? These old Cole Sewell Emtek handle sets have been replaced with the 40-049 by customers in the past, which is why I recommended it here. Let me know that exact dimension, and if it's indeed off I will try and find something better. Thanks for bearing with me.
