Door handle and lock

A home owner from La Crosse, WI says:
When closing the door, the lock falls down into the locked position. The lever will not stay up. We think it's a Vinylpro or Provinyl brand door which is no longer in business.
Do you have a part that would work for this door?

Hello,

I would recommend starting by comparing the dimensions of the 82-211 and 82-214B to your original mortise lock to see if one of them matches up.

These lock assemblies are commonly used with handle sets that have 3-15/16" hole spacing, such as the 82-032. Take a look and review the specifications of each part to see what you think. Thanks for posting.

82-211 Looks like it would work well BUT...after we put the lock and handle back in place, the lever is working again. We're thinking the little lever wasn't in the right position to make it work right. So, we're keeping our fingers crossed that this will keep working for us. Thank you so much for your help. I'm keeping what you sent, in case we ever need it again.

That's great to hear that your original mortise is now working. Sometimes reinstalling the hardware can correct various problems. If the mortise fails again, we'll be here to supply you with a replacement.
