Door lock

Question

I don't have a picture of the lock, as it fell through the door. But the hole measures 3 1/8, and I've tried 3 11/16 and it doesn't fit. It's too large.

Thanks for posting. While I can't be 100% certain without seeing the original lock, the 82-218 is in fact probably what you need. It is meant to be a tight fit and installed at an angle. See the video below for details.
