Door lock mechanism just spins

It's tough to be sure based on your photos, but the handle set reminds me of our 82-093, depending on how the measurements compare to yours. I can't quite make out your mortise lock, but the 82-239 is commonly used with this handle set. Review the specifications to see if you might be able to use this lock with your original faceplate. Take a look and let us know if you need anything else!

Your mortise lock looks like the 82-239, as long as the dimensions match, but you will need to reuse your original faceplate. As for the key lock, the one that comes with the 82-093 is not available separately. We offer the 82-310 that we suspect may be compatible but we don't have a door on hand to test it. If you decide to give it a try, keep in mind that you'll need to break off a little bit of the spindle at a time until it engages with the mortise lock. If you cut off too much, the lock won't work.
