Door pivot for old business

I have an old business. The door pivot at the bottom has a flat head screw on top. Even though that screw is removed the glass door will not come off the pivot. Is there something internal I need to trigger to get the bottom pivot to rease the door. The door opens and closes smoothly but I need to remove the door for new equipment but that bottom pivot will not let door come up.
