Door plate (keeper?)

The plate is missing where the lock latch goes into, about 2 15/16 long, two screw holes

Thank you for contacting us. I recommend that you look at our 89-040 patio door keeper. This appears to match your original, but review its design and see if you agree. Note that this is designed to work in conjunction with the 82-076 patio door handle set.
