Door thickness of 40-101

Question

Does the handle #40-101 for a Pado/Latao lockset fit a 1 1/2" thick door? This was a Larson storm door purchased years ago. The door is still good, but the door handles are very tarnished. I would rather not replace the entire lockset if possible. Please help. Thanks, Doug

I took one of our 40-101 handles from stock to measure the length of the spindle. The spindle with the handle installed on one end is 2-1/2" long, which appears to be long enough to accommodate a 1-1/2" door.

Keep in mind that the 40-101 is used on the Papaiz lock set, which is similar to the Pado. The spindle thickness is 1/4" so check the dimensions on your existing lock to see if 1/4" is the correct size.
