Door track and rollers

This door track looks like your large door track cover, however there is no door track, it is just the cover in a pocket. The problem with the rail is that it currently falls over and I am able to straighten it out and get the door to work for a while after messing with it, but before too long it falls over again.  The door is a wasco 48160, installed in 2004.  I am looking for a track replacement and rollers.  The rollers are adjusted from the inside of the door(as shown in pics), not the ends as usual. I have not disassembled anything yet because I have not found a useable track yet.

Hello,

We carry one patio door track, see the 6' long 80-106 and the installation video below.

As for the rollers, there's a good chance we can help, but we would need to see photos of the original roller uninstalled to compare to our inventory. The video below will assist you, but as you mentioned, you'll need to pop off the little cap to access the adjustment screw. Thank you!

I'm fairly unimpressed with the response from an expert, my track looks nothing like that and I'm concerned that the load of the door would be too much for the frame as the load of the door is currently carried by the base of the frame as opposed to the webbing, my worry is that if I place this track on the webbing and the door frame fails, then I have to replace the entire door and frame

I'm sorry to hear that you're disappointed with our service. However, I standby Casey's recommendation of the 80-106. While it doesn't look identical to your original track, it ought to be usable as a replacement option. I've repaired this kind of door with the 80-106 many times without issue.

The only details that are really different are: 1) The rail is centered on yours, rather than offset like ours. However that's because our base is skinnier overall, allowing it to work in a wider variety of doors. All you have to do is center it in the space available and it will line up. 2) Sometimes old tracks like yours are raised up by an inch or so of aluminum, which ours doesn't have, but it's easy to compensate for by just installing a piece of wood under it. I've done this in a pinch at it works fine.

Either way, we have no closer option. The 80-106 is quite literally the only patio door track we sell, but it's an incredibly versatile part that I've used on an absolute ton of different doors. More to the point, there are good odds that your original just plumb isn't made anymore, or is at least very difficult to come by. Speaking from experience. At a certain point you just have to make do.

Just because the 80-106 looks nothing like yours doesn't mean it won't work. It's intentionally made to be different to fit in a wider variety of applications. It's a good product and will likely work in your door with little to no alteration.
