Attached please find pictures of door wall latch. The spring that resets the hook seems to be broken. As I am visiting south jersey I have only a few days to fix for mom. Any assistance would be a great help.

Hi Bob, look at the 82-218 mortise. I believe this is the part you're looking for. Make sure the dimensions match up and check out the related video for additional help.
