Double Door bulb weatherstipping

Quick Learner from Montvale, NJ

Hi Guys,

I need replacement stripping for my doors that are probably from the 1980's. The stripping has a bulb that is approx. 1/4", which slides into a groove in the door frame. The wide part of the stripping is approx. 1 1/8 inch. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Best regards,

I'm afraid we don't have anything like this. I do have an idea, though. First, can you tell me if your door is wood?

If it is, then I think you can use our 58-169 seal. This uses a nail-on flange that will allow you to adjust it to whatever position it needs to be in for the best possible seal. It's not the same exact style as the original but as long as you can mount it then I think it will work just as well. Look it over and let me know your thoughts.

Thanks Tom. Yes, the door is wood, and the kerf opening is 1/4", so do you have any stripping where the portion that gets pushed into the groove is 1/4" wide? My current stripping has the bulb that is 1/4" wide that goes into the groove. Thanks again.

Unfortunately, we do not. I should have said this before, but we don't have anything that can work as a substitute for that round bulb seal. I've seen it many times and it's just not a style that's made anymore.

As long as the door is wood, I'm confident that our 58-169 will work well for you.
