Double Hung Window Sash Release

Question

No markings, name, or numbers on this part or the window itself. I believe you call this a sliding thumb release. The part in question is plastic, white in color. Size is 1 5/8" long, 11/16" wide, appears there should be two prongs on the bottom side, the outside base measurement from one prong to the other is 3/8", the prong itself is 1/8" wide x 1/16" thick x 1/4" tall. The remaining prong is 5/8" from the end of the slide base, the missing prong is 5/8" from the other end of the slide base.

Thanks for reaching out to us. We believe your old thumb latch is discontinued and no longer available, unfortunately. You might want to see if you could convert to a surface mount latch, depending on the space you have. Take a look at the video below that will guide you through every step of this process.
