Double Hung Window Tilt Window

Handy Person from Charlotte, NC
I am searhing for the left and right hand sid piece for a tilt window.  The piece is a latch that holds th window in the trak and allows you to remove the window.  The piece appears to be spring loaded and slides back and forth, allowing the latch to move.

Thanks for posting. This part is called a tilt latch. There are many different kinds, and without seeing an undamaged version I can't be certain what you have. Take a look at our 26-408 tilt latches to start. These have a similar shape, but check to see if the dimensions match what you have.

If the 26-408 doesn't match, then the 26-266 may be the better match. See below.

Unfortunately the right-side version of this tilt latch is no longer available, and soon the left-handed version will be out-of-stock as well. If so, consider the 26-393A Tilt Latch pair. This may work as a substitute, though we cannot guarantee it. Take a look and let me know if you have further questions.
