Double Spring balance Spring

Question

WE have CertainTeed windows in our home and 2 balance springs have broken.  We are hoping to get them repaired but the company is out of business and says the parts are no longer available. Seems like this could be a pretty easy repair if we could locate parts that would work.  See attached photos of problem and parts.  Can you help?

Hello,

I believe you'll need out S170 coil spring, which is 3/4" thick. You'll need the weight number that is stamped on the end of the coil that is screwed into the pivot shoe to determine which replacement to choose. Let me know if you have any more questions. Thank you!
