Double sliding glass door/ missing strike plate

A home owner from San Diego, California says:
I can't seem to find a strike plate in order to lock my double sliding glass doors. It was missing when I moved in after buying the house. Can't seem to find this part anywhere. There are 3 holes where the part used to be and from the top hole to the middle hole it is separated by 2 3/8 inches. From the top hole to the bottom hole its separated 3 1/8 inches. Please help me identify this part or if you could reccomend a solution to fix this problem. I would greatly appreciate it.

Sure! Your mortise resembles our 82-226, which is actually compatible with a bunch of different kinds of keepers. Looking at the space where the old one installed, you may have had something like the 89-021. I think this is a good place to start, but look over our dimensions and let me know if you agree.

A home owner from San Diego, California says:
So I ordered the part 89-021 and it was close but a bit too big. I could lock the sliding glass door but it wouldn't allow the door to close all the way. Can you recommend another part that might work? Thank you

I'm sorry to hear that the 89-021 didn't work. That was one of the narrower options we had. The only part we have that's skinnier is our 89-017. Could this be better for you? It's 1/8" thick.
