What needs to be replaced for the handle drooping?

That would depend entirely on what kind of handle you're working with. What kind of door does this install on? Would we be able to see a few photos?

Off the top of my head, I most commonly see droopy handles on storm doors. In such a case, this problem arises when the spring in the interior handle no longer functions. Replacing the interior handle usually fixes it.

That's just an educated guess though. Photos of the handle set would allow me to give a more confident recommendation.

If your hardware uses a mortise, then the solution for fixing a droopy handle is to replace the mortise itself.

I'd be happy to see if we sell a potential replacement, but I will need clear photos of the original mortise removed from the door and shown without obstruction. Detailed, written dimensions will also be necessary.
