Dyad Roto Casement Operator Replacement

A quick learner from Northern California says:
My hardware broke and I need a replacement. In the photo you can see the temporary repair I did to it by adding steel plates to top and bottom. After searching the Internet the closest replacement I could find is your 39-089. It looks like it has a single bend (Z-style) arm; not a double bend (W-style). The main problem is the arm piece that attaches to the window is 3.5 inches and your part is 5 inches. I think you suggested that I drill out the rivet that holds out the two arms and swap the arms with the original. If that is correct, can you tell me more about this process? Do you peen the new rivet in place?

Thanks for posting! So far, you're correct on all counts. The 39-089 is the best match we have and we generally do recommend swapping the arms out. You would use our 62-014 rivet, which you place into the hole where the arms meet and hammer it down over a steel plate. The skinny end of the rivet will then "mushroom" out and keep the arms connected.
