Emco Anderson Window Screen

A home owner from texas says:
My screen ripped out on my 0012707627 EMCO 2000 series for Anderson Windows, the door is in good condition, so I only need to replace the broken screen & after pulling out broken part found out why window won't close, it seems the top of window snaps are bent along with top of window frame.
I've called & searched for any available parts & found this retractable storm door was discontinued years ago!
Is there anyway to find the repair parts, can't afford $400 to $600 to replace door without installation cost!

What I have done in the past to replace this Emco storm latch was to use the 91-183 slide latch used on Deco storm windows. The measurements are close to the one from Emco, but they aren't as "tall". What you could do is "tap" the bottom of the lift rail a little to take some of the gap at the bottom of the latch. I found that it made a good substitute. Take a look and see what you think.
