Question

We have several windows that are missing the handles. Some handles have the spindle/gear at the end, while others are just the handle and there is nothing to connect them to the operator.

A few missing the covers and a couple of windows that do have the handle and has no problem opening the window, but cannot close the window as the handle comes out of the socket when turning it to close the window.

Please help determine which items are needed to be replaced.

It looks like the spline that the handle attaches to has broken off. Unfortunately, this part is not designed to be replaced, so the entire operator would need to be replaced. Take a look at the 39-031 below. This resembles your operator but the dimensions would be the determining factor, paying close attention to the length of the shorter link arm.
