Quick Learner
Two different channels: 34 inches and 28 inches for windows that weigh about 30 lbs. The end fittings are the same for both. CGI impact glass aluminium frame windows.

I have two windows that need replacement balances. Actually, only on one side each but it may make more sense to replace both sides for both windows. I have included photos of the length of the channels.

Hello!

We appreciate you reaching out to us. We can help supply replacements for these balances but it will have to be a custom order due to the configuration. I'll email you an order link that you can use to place an order directly on our website.

Please note, the metal channels for your balances should measure 33-7/8" and 27-7/8" long. Custom orders are nonrefundable so you may want to triple-check this just to be safe. There is also a 5-6 week business week lead time.

Hello
Thank you for the quotation.
Could you tell me please why the cost per unit is so high compared to other similar size balances on your website?
Regards,

Sure, so the type of balance you have isn't something we stock which means we have to order them out. In addition to that, you will notice that the pulley wheel is literally built into the shoe, rather than the metal channel itself. The cord also has an extended travel and even the metal channel itself differs from any stock option we carry. Rather than being measured on a full inch, the metal channel ends in a 7/8" length.

The issue when trying to use a stock balance to replace this is that if you were to use a 33" version, both the metal channel and cord would be too short and the sash wouldn't be able to close. Meanwhile, a 34" would be too long, and you'd run into the same issue.
