Hello there!

Thanks for reaching out to us. It looks like you have two different types of balances here. The ones in your first two photos appear to be the Series 380 or Series 385, depending on the depth of the bottom fitting.

Comparison of the S378, S380 and S385 balance shoes.

The balance in your last two photos will have to be a custom order due to its configuration. The pulley wheel is built into the bottom fitting itself and this balance features an extended cord travel as well as a metal channel length ending in 5/8" which is what makes it custom. I'll just need more information so that I can get this moving for you. Can you show us close-up photos of the top and bottom fittings? We'd also like to see a photo of the metal clip attached at the end of the pulley cord.

Hi Emily, I hope you are doing fine. I was looking at both of them and theyare exactly the same with the same number, 2040. The windows are practical the same execpt for the width, one is smaller. the metal clip is exaclty like your part #S385. I am not able to send you pics now, I am working. You think I can use #S385? Also for the first 2 pics the size of the booth is a bit more than an inch, is #S385 a better fit. Do you have any returns on these parts?

Thank you so much.

It's very odd that you have two identical windows with different types of balances. They should be the same type if the brand/manufacturer is the same. Have you ever had any trouble with the window with the S380/S385 balances? I'm wondering if the extended travel balance is what your window originally had and whoever installed the other window used whatever they had on hand.

However, the Series 380 won't work to replace the extended travel balance. The issue when trying to use a stock balance to replace this is that if you were to use a 20" version, both the metal channel and cord would be too short and the sash wouldn't be able to close. Meanwhile, a 21" would be too long, and you'd run into the same issue.
