Extended-Travel Channel Balance Quote
The stamp 25-9 is printed on the "bottom.jpeg" photo.
The window looks quite new, (no obvious manufacturer, but I will add a photo), but in the past 15 years. I will need at least 2, and if correct, will preorder more.
Thanks for writing in! There is a chance that we can supply you with the replacement balances you need, however there are a few bits of information I'll need from you to confirm pricing and availability.
To start, I'll need to see a photo of the side profile of your bottom shoe. I'll also need for you to double check the length of your metal channel. If this is a riveted balance, the length should be 25-5/8"; if it is a rivetless balance, the length should be 25-7/8" (I'll be able to determine the type based on the photo of the side profile).
Please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have in the meantime.
It is closer to 25-5/8".
Please see side profile photo attached.
Thanks for confirming. It is most likely you have the 25-7/8" balance. The last detail I'll need for you to confirm is the exact weight of your sash. I am not able to cross-reference your stamp with ours, unfortunately.
Once I have this information I'll be able to provide you with a quote for the (2) requested balances.
Feel free to reach out with any questions you may have.
The total length of the balance, measured to include part of the plastic (see photos showing how I set the beginning and end) measures near 25-7/8", but the metal part only would most likely be only 25-5/8". (There is some small error due to my using an 18" ruler twice. For the end photo, the 17" mark is really the 25" mark.)
Thanks for confirming. I'll need to know the weight of the actual sash (window) these balances would be supporting. This is to determine the spring strength your balances would need since we are not able to cross-reference the stamp from your balance.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks for confirming this information. I've forwarded a link with a quote for (2) of the requested balances. You'll be able to use this link to review your quote and to place your order. Be sure to check your spam/junk folder for the email if you do not find it in your primary inbox.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
