i have a 28.5 inch metal length only channel
width is 1/2 inch
stamped 28 3 as shown in pictures and stamped BSI

Thanks for reaching out! Yes, you are correct. These balances are an extended travel channel balance and will need to be a custom made assembly.
I've forwarded a link with a quote for (2) of the requested balance balances. Although, before making your purchase, I would recommend double checking the length of your metal channel. The length of these balances will be 28-5/8". If yours are truly 28-1/2", our balances will not work as a replacement.
