Exterior Lock Issue

Hello,

I just bought an Andersen 2573078 exterior lock.

Problem-

the tail piece on the interior lock is not long enough to go through to the exterior lock.

Do I need to buy a new thumb latch lock to make this work?

Hey there, sorry to hear you're having trouble. The "tail" length on our 82-241 is 1-3/8" long. Compare it to the tail on your existing thumb turn to make sure it has the length you need.

Success!

I measured, then purchased the 82-241.

The most nerve wracking part was drilling the holes for the exterior lock.

I am happy to say that the new lock is installed and working well.
