We have a Kawneer door that I thought part 79-030 would fit, but it does not quite. 1.Your part is 1" wide, the Kawneer is 1 1/8". Your part would leave a slight gap on one side, allowing rain to enter the door unless sealed somehow.
2.Your part is 1/16" longer (it could be filed down, if that was the only issue). 3.The height of the weatherstrip is only as high as the already squished Kawneer part, which was my reason for wanting to change it in the first place.
4.The cutout for the throw is slightly too narrow (it fits but rubs)
I saw from one of your other posts in 2018 that my only option is to contact a Kawneer dealer, so I will do that. It was inexpensive and so I won't bother asking for a return, but I like your site (I have used you before) and how much help you give, and just wanted to let you know that this part didn't work on Kawneer.

This happens to be a faceplate for a newer Kawneer door, which is a bit different than the ones we supply and has a piece of weatherstripping on each side. Unfortunately, we do not carry a suitable replacement for this part. You may want to consider contacting Kawneer directly for assistance. I'm sorry we can't be of more help but we wish you the best of luck with your repair.
