Failed Balance Shoes and broken Pivot Bars

The Balance Shoes failed causing the upper sash to fall which also damaged the pivot bars.

Thanks for posting. That Pivot Bar looks like our Simonton 26-336. The Pivot Shoe, however, looks more like our Certainteed 15-192. Simonton once used a pivot shoe like this that was very similar, except the metal cam was a slightly different shape. The issue for you is that our 15-192 center metal cam has a slot that's not the right shape to accept the tip of the 26-336. To get around this, you would have to re-use the cams from your old shoes, if they were undamaged; in the event that they are, you will have to grind down the "collar" on the 26-336 tip so that it fits the 15-192 cam. See what you think.
