Failing Weatherstrip

Question

I have 5 sliding windows that are about 25 years old.  The rubber component running down the center of the weatherstrip has hardened and ripped allowing rain to enter around perimeter of frame.  I could not remove the weatherstrip from either the movable or fixed sides of window frames.

We'd be happy to look into this for you but we would need to see an end profile photo of your wool pile removed from the sash. We'd related a few videos to assist you with removing a sample and getting us the information that we need. We'll also need you to write out the exact width of the backing and the pile height once the piece is removed. Thank you.
