Felt weather stripping

Quick Learner from Georgetown Ky
I have these bottom tilt in windows. As you can see the weather stripping needs to be replaced. There's also support to be another bulb type for the bottom of the sash. My problem is that they appear to be the kind Swissco carries, but they are totally enclosed at a 45 degree angle. Doesn't appear to be a way to remove the old and install the new. What should I do?

Thanks for writing in! To remove the pile from the bottom of the window, you'll need to cut it from the frame. Take a look at the video below for instructions on how to remove the seal. We also show how to replace it.

Once you do have it removed, I'll need to know the measurement for the width of the base and the height of the pile. I'll also need to see a photo of the end profile of the bubble seal.

Thanks for replying. That looks like it will work for the sides, but my window frame is made od metal, not vinyl. And what about the one on top?
I will get a picture of the bubble seal from the best one I have remaining, most have disintegrated. There isn't a slot there, either.
Apparently the previous homeowner hadn't done anything.

Unfortunately, whether the window is metal or vinyl, you would need to use the cutout method. If there is no opening to allow you to slide the wool pile out from the end of the frame, one must be made.

I do apologize that we cannot provide you with an easier solution.
