Because the side of my housing say 10, I should chose a 10 pound spring right? But the series 160 is 1/2 in and my stock spring is 1/4 in.

Based on your picture of the coil width, it does appear to be 1/2". Starting at the very beginning of the ruler will skew the measurement a bit. If your sash weighs 20 pounds, you'll need one S160-10 for each side of the window. Thanks for posting!
