Fixed patio door stop

A quick learner from Iowa says:
I am looking for something to secure my fixed patio door. It moves freely as there is no bracket to stop it inside or outside. What would be the best part to use? I see you have several available.

Thank you for your patience during this busy season. I'm afraid I don't know what fixed door clip you may need. We usually need the original to use as a reference. I can at least tell you that the 80-051 is a common sight on this kind of door, but without the old one I can't compare dimensions to confirm.

A quick learner from Iowa says:
Thanks Tom!

Unfortunately there was no original I could find as we recently bought the house.

Is it typically to have the 80-051 on the top and bottom of the fixed door or is it usually just in one place?

Thanks!

I believe it would be best to have two brackets at the back of the stationary door. Like Tom said, the 80-051 is pretty common and we also have a new type, the 80-049. See which one matches up best to the shape of your door. That will be the deciding factor.
