Flipping the Latch on an 82-008

A quick learner from Lutherville, Maryland says:
Can the latch be flipped the other way so that it goes up to latch? It doesn't loo as though this is possible? Do I need a different handle then the one I ordered?

Hello! The 82-008 can be used for both left and right hand doors interchangeably, yes. You should be able to just flip the latch tooth around. It's a separate piece.

A quick learner from Lutherville, Maryland says:
I need the tooth to be up, not down. The tooth does not fit in the slot when you turn it upright. Also, in the Crossly the look has the tooth going up to catch the latch and lock.

Oh, I see. I'm sorry for misunderstanding. I thought you just meant to flip it to face the other direction.

These hooks are not meant to hook up, unfortunately. It would probably be easier in your case to flip the keeper on the door frame upside down. Would that be possible?
