Broken Window Sash Balancers

Hi- thanks for posting!

We'll need to see some photos of the balance actually removed from the window to be able to determine the best replacement option for you. Unfortunately, the stickers won't give us the information that we'd get from actually seeing the balance.

See attached photos, I need to replace the sash balancers on about 6 windows. If you could please help me identify which balancer I need, I would appreciate it.

Ok, is there anything in particular you need photos of or just the whole thing in general? Thanks

There are three or four major styles of balance. Without knowing which style you have, I couldn't give you the right advice. Take some photos of the whole balance, and take close-ups of anything that seems important to you. If we need more, we will ask for specific images, once we see the part.

When I went to remove the windows in order to get to sash balance out the windows would not come out. When attempting to remove the windows both of the balances lift up with the windows then fall back down. I was able to see a punched number on the balance of 28D. Does that help? The bottom window is 30" tall, therefore a 28" balance makes sense.

It looks like you can use our S390-29 channel balance for your window. The spring weight for your balance should be 2840 for a sash weighing between 23-28 lbs. Thank you!
