Foam window sill corner weatherstop Weathershield

A home owner from De Pere Wi says:
I have weather shield wood, non tilt windows (1986). there is a foam cushion that is on the bottom of the lower window(both corners)that compresses as the window is closed. Believe it is intended to prevent cold air leaks coming from the sill upward tthroughf the balance channel. channel is 1 3/8" wide. Thickness of foam is 3/4".

Any ideas as to are there replacements. After 30 years the foam has become brittle and filthy from dirt in balance channel.

Thank you for submitting your inquiry to our discussion board.

We have something similar, our 26-139, but it has a hole cut out for the Series 600 balance.

We assume you tried a Weathershield dealer with no luck?

If so, go to your nearest hardware store and see if they have stick-on foam weather seal that you can cut into pieces.
