Forever Door Bottom Sweep

I need to replace my Forever Door bottom sweep. I purchased Item Number 58-176 which arrived today. Unfortunately, this item does not solve my problem. The width of the U-Channel is good. However, the depth of this item is 5/8" x 7/8". This is insufficient to cover the door bottom properly. The existing door bottom U-Channel is 2 1/8" deep. Any suggestions?

I am sorry this part did not work out for you. Perhaps if we saw some photos of your current sweep, that will help us in searching for more of an appropriate piece for you. Could we see some photos of your original piece?

Ah, I see the problem. I'm afraid we don't have an exact match for this sweep. You may need to contact the manufacturer directly. If they cannot help, either, then one solution would be to reinstall the door to be lower in the opening and pack out the top of the door with a piece of wood trim to bring it down. Another idea would be to instaall a piece of wood to the bottom of the door.
