Question

Hello,
The spring on the handle mechanism is broken. The handle does not rotate back as it should after turning to open the door.
The screws are 1 3/4" across both the handle and deadbolt. The top and bottom screw are 5 1/2".

Can I get just the spring?
Can I get a new lock mechanisim as I do not have the key.
If not, is the handle mechanisim available?

Hello there. If you needed just a new latch and spring mechanism the 40-150 should work. However this does not come in a brass finish. In any event, if you need a new key lock as well it may be better just to go with an all new lockset. This exact Cole Sewell lockset is no longer made, but our 40-058 should work as a substitute. Please compare.
