Found an intact piece of stripping...

Quick Learner from Huntingdon Valley, PA
So... I thought our windows had a bubble stripping, but I found an intact piece during our work yesterday.
I looked on the site for "leaf" style stripping... but didn't find a match.

Any help finding my window's soul mate?
Thanks.

We unfortunately don't sell this type of weatherstripping. The only thing we have that may work is our 58-053. While the design is very different it looks like it still works under the same basic principles. Look it over and see what you think.

Thanks for your reply.

We were actually using 58-055 because I thought that was the replacement.

The fit is too snug to the point that I'm not sure we can open some of the windows come spring. I believe 58-055 is slightly smaller in bubble.

Only after we did a number of the windows did I find that intact piece.

This might be poor form, but is there another place which sells this type of product?

In either case, Thanks for the help.

I'm afraid I don't know of anyone else who may sell this style. We actually used to sell it ourselves but it was discontinued about four years ago.

I'm very sorry for the inconvenience.

I've used the 58-055 as a replacement for this type of fin-seal in the past. Like many weather seals of this type, once the bulb has a chance to conform to the gap it occupies, your window should function well come spring. This is based on personal experience. Pro Tip: if your weather-strip sticks a little, don't be afraid to wipe the seal with a little silicone spray, or similar lubricant. It helps, and lasts.
