Your diagram shows these brackets are adjustable but looking at the ones I bought the teeth hold them firmly in place. Is there a trick to adjust them?

Hello,

The idea is you want the bracket to be adjustable, but not too loose. You could try a little lubricant or use a small flat blade screw driver to pry it over to where you need it. Please let me know if we can further assist.
