What is the width of the door that this handle can fit?
What to make sure that the door isn't too wide. Do you have any replacement handles for 1 and 2/8"?

Hello! This handle set appears to match our 40-188. This is meant to work on 1" thick doors. The plate itself is 1-3/8", so you will need at least that much space to install it. If yours is 1-1/4", as you stated, then it is likely too small.
That said I've never seen a version of the 40-188 in any other size. You may want to double check the size of your original part just to be safe.
