Full - VU Door - Bifold door Pivot

A landlord from Philadelphia says:
I am trying to find out if the bifold pivot on the bottom of the Full - Vu door requires a spring to push up or push down the pin that attaches to the bifold door pin cap.

Where are are 21-049, 21-050 and 21-058 used, for the top or bottom of door ??

The pin that is there now thou badly rusted has no additional springs or clips attached to it.

Also it seems very easy for the pin to disengage from the bifold door pin cap. What do you suggest to have the pin stay better attached to the door pin cap.

Good afternoon, and thanks for posting in our Discussion Board!

Usually, the pins that have springs are for the top guide, while the one without springs are for the bottom guide. That said, some people find that the pins with the springs work fine for both.

Now, as for your guide cap coming off the pin, it might be worn out. If the pin doesn't snap in to the guide, then you might need a new guide. Please take a look at our 21-108 and see what you think.
