GA window sash balances

A quick learner from Indianapolis says:
I have two windows needing replacement parts. The first one measures approx 29" long (metal to metal end) and has the following imprints: 28 1/4 3 B J and i would need one pair

The second window sash balance has the imprint 22 1/4 2 L1 and it measures 23 1/4" long from metal end to metal end.

The width of the each "tube" is 1/2"
I am a Realtor and need these parts for a home I am selling for a client. Thank you so much!

GA has been known to use our Series 351 balance system. However, because of that length, yours will have to be specially made. I would confirm that your balances are 28-1/4" and 22-1/4" long. If they are, please tell me how many of each you need and we will send you a special order link and price quote for each.

A quick learner from Indianapolis says:

The measurement for the first is 29 inches and I need 2. Other balance measures 23-1/4 and I need 2 of that also.

Great, thank you! I'll email you a special order link for 2 of the 23-1/4" right now. If your other balances are just 29" long, then that doesn't have to be a special order. Just see our S351-29.

A from Indianapolis says:
I ordered the S351-29 and the S351-21 and both were a perfect fit!! Having said that, i now need a small piece of plastic at the very top of the windows to hold these parts in. I have attached the photo and the measurements of the part needed... Can you please help me identify the necessary part?? thank you very much.

Great! I'm glad to hear they worked. As for this piece of plastic, it's known as a top sash guide. I actually recognize this one. We did carry it at one time, but it was discontinued years ago. According to our records, the 18-066 could work as a substitute, even though it has a slightly different style. Look it over and let me know what you think.
