General Aluminum non-tilt window spiral balance

Contractor from Fleming island
This window is a General aluminum non-tilt window with spiral balancers. There is no way to remove the sash from the frame. How do I replace the spiral-balance in a window like this? On the bottom of the sash there is no obvious shoe to attach the balancer to. Please offer some guidance...

This kind of sash isn't made to be removable, unfortunately. However, we do have a possible solution.

With someone helping you, you will need to drop the new balance in from the top of the sash, screw it in at the top, then let the spiral drop down. You will then raise the sash and, while someone holds the sash in the open position, spin the spiral up to the bottom of the sash. Finally, with our 75-004 tool, give the balance about three turns to charge it and lock it to the end into the sash clip.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

So, there is a sash clip on the bottom part of the sash that the balancer will clip into?

Yep, it should be a kind of bracket or tab. You can see all the different types we have here to get an idea of what it may look like.
