General Aluminum window sash

I'm not sure what series GA window I have, but the single-hung sash will not stay open. It appears the balance mechanism has broken. It has a 1/2" diameter rod. See attached pics.

Hello,
We'd be happy to help but we would need to see an undamaged balance dully removed from the window to identify a replacement. Also, the diameter of the balance tube should be either 3/8" or 5/8". Please confirm. Thank you!
