Hi there! We may be able to help. We carry a lot of rollers like this, like our 81-030 or 81-138, but I'm not sure what to recommend. Can you tell me the dimensions of the housing? The most important dimensions are the thickness and height. Length doesn't really matter that much. I'd also like to know the diameter of the wheel.

As for nylon vs steel, it's ultimately up to you. Nylon wheels are kinder to the track, and are a little smoother, but they aren't as strong so they'll wear out faster. Steel wheels roll smoothly as well and they last a lot longer, however they might be a little rougher on the track in the long run. There are pros and cons to each but both are usable.

Hi Tom , the wheel diameter is1 1/4. Thickness is 11/16. I think I'd like to use nylon rollers

Tom from SWISCO responded:

I'm afraid that we don't have a version of this roller with an 11/16" thickness. All of the rollers we have in this style are 3/4". That said, I see that your roller has little bumps on the side while ours do not. I wonder if those bumps would give you an extra 1/16" to match ours. I bet they do, but please double check to be sure.

I'm also still not sure what the height of the roller is. Assuming that the bumps increase your thickness to 3/4", then you could have either of the two rollers I mentioned (81-030 or 81-138). The biggest difference between these is the height of the housing, which is a very important measurement.

Finally, there's the matter of the nylon wheels. These two rollers aren't available with nylon wheels but you can swap them out. You'd have to drill out the wheel that comes with it and then install our 81-228 nylon wheel using our 81-310 axle repair kit.
