Glazing bead strips

A home owner from Missouri City says:

Good Afternoon! We had some hail and tornado damage to our home and I am finally on the last piece of repair and I am having trouble finding an outlet that handles this. The glazing bead strips(I think that is what they are called, they are plastic strips that frame the window glass) are chipped from hail and a couple are hanging off. Is this hard to replace or must it be done by a professional window installer....it looks like they just snap in? How do I figure out what size I need? The glazing is like a v with a lip at the top of the edge that faces the window.

It seems similar to the wenco strip or the 55-080 or 55-029 or 55-197

If I press it together the side with the lip is barely shorter. Thanks in advance! Jeanna :)

It's tough to determine the best replacement without more detailed dimensions, but from your photos, I'm leaning towards the 55-029 snap-in glazing. It will ultimately depends on your measurements.

It isn't that difficult to replace. You would slip the one side with the lip behind the frame and glass, then press it in until the other side lays flat on the glass. The video below should help, too.
