Great Lake bow window left side casement window operator

A home owner from Toms River, NJ 08753 says:
Hi,
I have an installed 1989 Great Lakes Window (bow) with two casement window on each end. The left casement window, the window can open with the handle but won't close it with the handle. It looks like the operator part that connects to the handle is stripped. I found serial numbers on operator parts 30842R and 20810. Also the long bar from the operator has Entry Guard Truth on it. Hope you can help.

Trish

Tom from SWISCO responded:

Hello, Trish. Your analysis is dead on: your worm gear has stripped out. This is a common failure point on older operators.

The good news is that we sell the operators that will replace this. See our 39-031 and 39-032. I am fairly confident that these are what you want but review our specs and see what you think.
