Looking for old parts for this window. It won't stay up.

Sounds like an issue with the balance, not the top sash guide. Would it be possible to see yours out of the window? I specifically need to see the top end, bottom end, and stamp. The video below may be of some help to you, as well.

If the top sash guide is damaged, can you remove it and show me a clear picture of it from the side? The front view you already have is very helpful, but the side will allow me to narrow down the list of potential matches even further. I would also appreciate written dimensions if you can get them.

Here are some more pictures of the balance. I need the top sash and balances.

You have an old, discontinued Howmet aluminum replacement window. The top sash guide is our 18-018 while your 24" metal channel balance might be our S350-24, which has a bottom shoe depth of 1-3/32".

Please compare these two products to what you have installed now. While these windows are old I think our more modern parts are your best bet.

A handy person from Richmond va says:
Thank you. Is there a balance and sash compatible or anywhere i can find the old ones? I need 10 of them.

I doubt you'll find the original hardware anywhere. These haven't been made in a long time. The hardware suggested previously remains our best suggestion.
