Half inch window balances

Question

I have attached photos of the window balance. Spring has broken on one of them and I am looking to replace two (2). The only marking on one channel balance is 27B - and it also has a USA marking engraved into the metal. The other is marked 27D.
The balances are 1/2 inch wide and 29 inches long (including the plastic hardware at each end). The metal portion is 28 inches long (i.e. excluding the plastic hardware at each end).

Your balance resembles the S350-28 at first glance. With that being said, the stamp codes for the balances on both sides should be the same. If your stamps differ but both balances use the same end fittings, you'll need to weigh the sash to confirm the strength options needed for your replacements.
