Hand crank and auger stuck together

Home Owner from A house we own

the window will roll out, but not back in. I cannot separate the gear auger from the handle. I wonder how that is done as the handle is usually sold separately. It appears if I could get the gear auger separated that there is a little silver seal that maybe could be pounded in place and then the handle put on? is it possible to purchase these two units separately.? I have watched some videos and think I understand it, but in the videos, the crank and auger part are separate, when pounded into place. Can you assist me please? I would like not to put a whole new window or assembly in Thank you very much Bob

Hi Bob, thank you for posting,

Unfortunately the spline of the operator is stripped and will require replacing the operator mechanism. To further review, we will need to see the window open where we can view the arm attachment(s). From there we can get a clearer idea of which style is needed. Thank you!

Great thank you!

Please review the style and dimensions of the 39-031 and 39-032 operators. Compare the overall specifications and orientation to confirm a good fit! Also see the 39-114L handle and 39-107 cover if needed. Let us know if you have any additional questions!
