Is this an exact replacement for a DMS Industries 11 1400 outside pull? They are made of cheap white metal and one broke. Do I need to get 2 to be sure of an exact match?

As long as your hole spacing is 6-5/8", center-to-center, then I think you'll be okay with the 88-009. It's a generic part, so it's not tied to any brand, but it can be used on many different locksets with that hole spacing.
