Handle Set Inquiry 82-005

Question

We received the handle this week and are trying to install it right now.

We would like to keep the original keeper, as it is embedded within the door frame.

I can attach it to the sliding door using the original holes, however, the latch just misses the keeper.

(It is slightly short of reaching and slightly too far back, please see images).

What do you suggest as the best way forward ?

Thanks for posting. Could you try packing out your original keeper, perhaps with some washers or other material? See if that helps the reach. Let me know what you find out.
